You probably thought we were a bunch of illiterate, zombie-hating rednecks right? We’ll you’re only half-right.
Zombie Science - 07.27.2012
Zombies, are mindless killing machines right? Well, not exactly there Chuckles.
You see, no matter how they got zombified – those undead mother******s have to still ambulate and eat. They also must have some kind of instinct for food. As simple as that is, that means brain power.
Understanding how the recently rotten think, if you can call it that, is important to survival. Why? Cause you gotta understand your enemy and all that shit.
It’s important to understand why zombies:
- Don’t respond to pain
- Show no human emotion
- Disregard their own safety
- Show no capability for abstract thought or future plannin
Heck, who needs future planning when you’re already dead? Am I right?
Anyhoo, we turn to our old friend science to explain this key zombie survival lesson.
Presenting the triune brain. A model of brain evolution which might explain zombie behavior to some extent.
Killing Zombies - 05.29.2012

In this video, one of the martial arts expert co-founders of the Zombie Prep Network examines the CQB tactics that are unique to a zombie survival situation.
It’s less about an unarmed combat style than about practicing skills and tactics which are most like to work against single or multiple pain-resistant attackers.
The video breaks it down, but here are the basics:
Survival Weapons - 05.18.2012
We get it, you’re fan of Michonne from the Walking Dead and you think the katana is the ultimate bad-ass zombie survival weapon. Or maybe you’ve seen YouTube videos of dudes hacking up a ballistics gelatin zombie dummy with a samurai sword – awesome. But a katana is one of those things, like many weapons, where not knowing how to use it properly can do more harm than good.
You can seriously harm yourself with a sharpened katana, and most sword schools won’t let you touch a sharp one (Shinken) until you’re blackbelt. Wanna use a sword to slice up some zombs? Great – get yourself a practice weapon and get yourself some training.
In this video, I show you basic grip, drawing and cutting with a katana. YouTube videos should not replace one on one instruction, and you should get a whole lot of training – and train safe.
